Brigantia has been sold

Brigantia has been sold!

After giving us three years of fun and joy and looking after her novice crew, Brigantia went to pastures new in the Autumn of 2013. This blog remains as an archive of our activities on board.

Our new yacht, "Erbas" has her own Ships Log

Move and Launch Day

Crew: Bruce, Jane, Rik, Mark and Glen

Craned onto trailer and departed Woodbridge by road about 10:15
Arrived Fambridge and launch from yacht station slip approx. 13:00 at High Water
Engine start OK but leaking fuel from carb. Removed carb and freed stuck float, reassembled and tested, OK.
Restart engine and try to reverse off slip. Tide now ebbing strongly combined with sou'westerly strong breeze. Engine cut whilst trying to turn around, blown onto pier pontoon. Elected to remain there!

Mast up and rigging reattached, much tidying up.
Dried out late afternoon, no problem.
Repaired to pub for food and beer about 18:30.
Rik, Mark and Glen sleeping aboard, Bruce and Jane staying at pub B&B
Crew had to adjust lines in the night, otherwise no problems.
